About

Modi Architecture Design + fabrication (MAD+FAB) was founded in 2013 as an architectural design studio by Namita Modi,  a licensed architect since 1998 and LEED accredited professional since 2000. Prior to starting her firm, she was an associate at Dennis Wedlick Architect for over 14 years where she designed over 100 projects, including private residential, Passive House, affordable housing, rural conservation and sustainable prototype projects, many of which have been published and have won awards.  She continues this work at MAD+FAB and in 2018, she has added the fabrication of environmental products to her practice. The most current fabrication work is in association with her studio at Open Air Lab , a studio that is creating objects that will alleviate outdoor air pollution in New York City.

Namita holds a BA from Barnard College and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. She is licensed to practice architecture in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
